A comprehensive sound library of sounds from the medieval era, created through research of the materials, technology, and the way of life of the middle ages.
As with all our Ambience Kits, this library contains different kinds of assets to help you compose custom soundscapes or create new layered sound effects that fit your project perfectly.
Furthermore, this collection includes noiseprints (aka roomtones) extracted from both the ready-made ambience scenes and isolated sound elements that contained useful textures. Those are very useful as a base to create your own ambience loops or use them creatively in other ways.
Apart from combining the isolated elements to create custom scenes or effects, this library also includes ready-made scenes produced with our innovative True3D Audio™ mixing system. Our True3D Audio™ mixing system composes the scene by layering the sound sources inside a virtual 3D scene and then renders the result taking into account the acoustics and the interaction between the sound sources, the surface materials, the occlusion of sound from structures, and the sound transmission effects of distance, temperature, and humidity. At the core of the True3D Audio™ mixing system is a high-resolution holophonic encoder that mixes everything as a spherical projection around a listener point. After compositing all the sound layers, high-quality decoders are used to export the spherical image to three industry-standard formats: Stereo, Surround, and Ambisonics, with the ability to export in any immersive format such as Hexagon, 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos Bed, Auro-3D, Cube, IMAX, Hamasaki 22.2, or custom channel configurations (those extra formats can be made upon request with minimal cost for the client, contact us with your request).
The cherry on top is the included impulse responses provided in stereo, surround, and ambisonic formats. We include both reverberation IRs and occlusion IRs (a first), so you can use them with convolution in your projects to create ultra-realistic soundscapes. The reverberation IRs are also made using our proprietary True3D Audio™ mixing system for a realistic 3D reverberation.
This is an amazing sound library, tailor-made after long research to fit the aesthetics of the middle ages. Towns, castles, villages, fields, groves, wind through trees, small and large crowds, wagons, songbirds, farm animals, dogs, and much more, come together to create amazing medieval soundscapes.
