Ok, we have to admit it publicly, this is one of our favorite collections.

This library contains the sounds of fictional doors that you can’t find in the real world, and it’s a must-have for any filmmaker or game creator. You get extraordinary types of doors like nanowalls, portals, vaults, bio-walls, castles, catacombs, crypts, and more.

All door sounds are offered in a modular format with separate actions like opening, closing, locking, unlocking, slamming, stealth handling, proximity, and more (depending on the door type), and every separate door action includes many sound variations so you can create dynamic doors in your game or even as an added diversity to design your door types.

The doors we can't find in the real world, or can we?

Maybe we did find a nanowall but it was underground a secret military facility, or maybe we recorded real bio-walls and magic portals, but we had to sacrifice our best sound recordist to the local necromancer. Either way, her sacrifice wasn't made in vain as you can see in the contents of this sound library.

Apart from featuring some very neat sounds of fictional doors, the modular format of the content makes it also a great asset for any other creative sound design you might need. Why restrict yourself to door sounds only? Layer the isolated elements with other content to create exotic magic spells, sci-fi energy fields, and alien biotech.

There are no rules in creativity.

Contents and Organization

We take extra care to make it easy to find the sounds you need and intuitively browse the contents. Depending on the material, we use various ways to organize the content. Different content categories and channel formats are organized in folders. Useful content properties are included in the filenames (i.e., Loop, Complex, Diffused, DoplerInversed, etc.). Different types of the same phenomenon are denoted with capital letters, and same-type variations are enumerated with two-digit incremental numbers.
